GIANT Protocol Integrates with Circle to Enable USDC Payments for Tokenized Mobile Data

Users on the GIANT Protocol dapp can now spend USDC and fiat to purchase tokenized mobile data – called Data Contract Tokens (DCTs) – for global connectivity on networks like AT&T, Vodafone, Telefonica, Orange, and others in 118 countries without any contracts.

GIANT Protocol, a web3 protocol designed to tokenize, coordinate, and financialize bandwidth on the blockchain, announced today the ability to use USD Coin (USDC) and fiat as payment options to buy tokenized mobile data – Data Contract Tokens (DCTs) – on the GIANT Protocol dapp.

DCTs are tokenized prepaid mobile data packages, for example 5GB of cellular data on the AT&T network in the USA. Buyers of DCTs earn up to 40% back in GIANT token rewards. GIANT tokens offer their holders the opportunity to secure the protocol’s operations, participate in its governance, and earn 13% APY plus 5% of sales.

“With Circle’s dollar digital currency and payments infrastructure we are now one step closer to GIANT Protocol’s vision of one network, accessible to anyone, owned by everyone. Together we’re turning bandwidth into a global currency and making connectivity and financial services available to all,” said Suruchi Gupta, Founder and CEO of GIANT Protocol.

Circle is a global financial technology firm that provides payments and financial infrastructure for businesses of all sizes and the issuer of USD Coin (USDC) and Euro Coin (EUROC). USDC, a fully-reserved dollar digital currency, currently has over $50 billion in circulation as of September, 2022.

GIANT Protocol will leverage Circle’s payment solutions to enable fast, secure, and cost-effective payments in USDC and USD globally. For the first time users globally can purchase GIANT Protocol’s crypto-powered mobile data plans with one of the fastest growing dollar digital currencies.
