How do I know if my device supports eSIM?

How to check if your iOS device supports eSIM
To learn if your iOS device is eSIM-compatible, you will need to (1) check your device is carrier-unlocked and (2) check your device supports eSIM technology.
1 – Check your device is carrier unlocked
Go to Settings > General > About
Scroll down to view the “Carrier Lock” section.
It should say “No SIM restrictions” which means that the device is unlocked.
2 – Check your device supports eSIM technology
Scroll down to view the “AVAILABLE SIM” (iOS 15 and newer) or “DIGITAL SIM” (older iOS versions) section.
It should contain an IMEI under “AVAILABLE SIM” or “DIGITAL SIM” which means that the device is eSIM-compatible.
How to check if your Android device supports eSIM
To learn if your Android device is eSIM-compatible, you will need to (1) check your device supports eSIM technology and (2) check your device is carrier-unlocked.
1 – Check your device support eSIM technology
Dial *#06# and press call
In case your device is eSIM-compatible you should be able to view your device’s eSIM unique identification number (EID)
2 – Check your device is carrier unlocked
The most reliable way to know if your device is carrier-unlocked is to contact your carrier. If your device is paid in full and your account is in good standing, carriers are required to unlock your device.
Verizon automatically unlocks every phone after 60 days. AT&T provides an online request form for unlocking your phone. For other carriers, search for “[carrier name] unlock device” for example for AT&T search for “AT&T unlock device”.
